Nasa crashes craft into Moon

Nasa has crashed two spacecraft into the Moon in an attempt to learn if the rocky body holds water in the form of ice.

The LCROSS mission involved a 2,200kg rocket stage colliding first, hurling debris high above the lunar surface, before the second craft flew through the debris and crashed nearby.
