Tougher sanctions on file sharing

The government has announced proposals to toughen up its policy on illegal file-sharing.

As part of an amendment to the Digital Britain report, it wants internet service providers to restrict or cut off those who repeatedly download films and music illegally.

Service providers have, in the past, said it's not their job to police the web.
