The longest total solar eclipse this century has been witnessed by millions of people in Asia.
It could first be seen early on Wednesday in eastern India, then moved east across India, Nepal, Burma, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and the Pacific.
Footage shows various views of the eclipse as passed across China, plunging large areas of the country into darkness.
