How to land on the Moon

Space scientist Laura Major from the Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, shows how the Alhat (Autonomous precision Landing Hazard Avoidance Technology) landing system could get astronauts back to the Moon.

The system has been designed for the Altair Moon lander, the spacecraft that Nasa hopes will ferry astronauts to the lunar surface by 2020.
