The American space agency Nasa has delayed the launch of the shuttle Endeavour, which had been due to take off on Saturday on a two-week mission to the International Space Station.

Nasa postponed the launch to Sunday to find out what damage was done by eleven lightning strikes around the launch pad at Cape Canaveral in Florida.

Mike Moses, the Shuttle Launch Integration Manager, said the launch delay was needed to check critical systems.
