Antarctic ice bridge splits

Scientists say a thin bridge of ice off the coast of Antarctica has splintered, warning it could cause the collapse of a larger ice shelf behind it.

The British Antarctic Survey's David Vaughan explained the significance of the changes to the Wilkins Ice Shelf, saying it was a "really strong indication that warming is having an effect".
