The DMC satellites in orbit

The constellation of five DMC satellites work together to image large areas of the Earth - up to 600 x 600km at a time.

Their orbits are carefully designed to enable a daily revisit anywhere in the world, allowing them to react quickly to natural disasters, such as the Asian tsunami of 2005.

The satellites are used to monitor flood, fire, and deforestation.
