Spring bluebells bloom in Britain

The countdown continues to find the UK's best wildlife spectacle.

The contenders include leaping dolphins, soaring sea eagles, rutting deer and swirling starlings. But which one will be top of the wildlife pops?

In the top ten is the bluebell woodland spectacle. This phenomenon is unique to Britain. With 50% of the world's bluebell population being confined to these shores, only here do they grow en masse in spring woodlands.

Nature's Top 40 runs daily at 1430 GMT on BBC Two from Monday 1 December for two weeks
