Hello Dolly: Her latest incarnation is as a woolly jumper

Dolly the cloned sheep is set to make her mark on the fashion world - as a woolly jumper.

Her first fleece has been knitted into a sweater which will go on show at London's Science Museum.

A competition for charity to design the jumper was launched in September by the museum, together with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and the Portman building society.

Actress Jenny Agutter, a cystic fibrosis carrier, will officially present the latest incarnation of Dolly to the museum.

The trust launched the competition after it was presented with the fleece from Dolly's first shearing. It appealed for ideas from amateur and professional designers.

The pullover will be on display in London until April 30 before heading to Japan for a major exhibition of Science Museum artefacts.

Scientists from the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh entered the record books when they were the first to clone Dolly from the cell of an adult animal.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust hopes that research surrounding Dolly will eventually lead to a cure for the disease.
