Children at Claires Court Schools interviewed Maidenhead MP Theresa May as part of their School Report challenge.

The schoolchildren also secured an interview with the chief executive of Crossrail.

Among items discussed were how Crossrail will benefit Maidenhead and youth provision in the town.

The year 9 pupils wrote news, researched their guests and filmed and edited their interviews.

A full news bulletin was published on the school's website.

As well as interviewing the Right Hon Theresa May, the children also interviewed the CEO of Crossrail, Rob Holden, the deputy major of Maidenhead Cllr Asghar Majeed, Maidenhead Town Manager Steph James, Chris Hall, manager of the Magnet Leisure Centre, and John Wanklyn, Chairman of Maidenhead RFC.

They also talked to the parents of Maidenhead teenagers and children from Cox Green School.

The school also looked ahead to the World Rowing Junior Championships which will be held at Dorney Lake in August, before finishing with a weather forecast supplied by the geography department.
