How does the Alternative Vote work?

Should we change the way that MPs are voted into parliament? Some people think that we should. They say that MPs should be voted in using a different system from the one we have now.

That system is called the Alternative Vote, but how does it work?

School Reporters from Conisborough College in London have been finding out.
