Teen trombonist helps record Philharmonic World Cup jingle

By Joe, 13, School Reporter

As a trombone player, I think the opportunity to record at the BBC studios with players from the BBC Philharmonic orchestra for School Report Sports Day is great.

We played some jingles composed by the Philharmonic's Peter Willmott and I think everyone involved really enjoyed the experience.

This recording is a catchy jingle that combine the strong sound of the brass with the relaxed sound of the rhythm section and I think it works really well.

If you are a school looking to report on the World Cup, I urge you to use this jingle because it has a hint of South Africa with a flavour of football tunes.

If your school is participating in School Report Sports Day, and would like to use either of these two recordings in your sports news reports, please contact the School Report team who will send you a copy.
