Efforts to raise money for a school in Gambia were filmed by students at The Ridgeway School in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Pupils have raised more than £2,000 so far to put a roof on a school in the African state and build a library.
School reporter Rebecca, 13, said: "A group of Year 11s have been raising money, doing things like a 24-hour big bounce.
"The school has no windows. They want to build a library and get some books."
Students have also covered issues such as homelessness in Swindon and interviewed a player from Swindon Town football club.
They have also reported on breaking news, drawing up a running order from their own stories and new items chosen on School Report day.
Amy, 13, was given the job of leading the team.
"We have been writing cues and called a few meetings to decide on what to do.
"Today we added a story about binge-drinking in the UK. We are looking at how sales fell in February because of the snow and at where you can buy the cheapest Easter eggs.
"It's been really fun - all of it."
