Helen Shreeve , Editor and Project Leader
She started School Report and recruited the team and has worked in BBC News since 1990 as a broadcast journalist and manager. In her time at the BBC she's worked on all sorts of radio and TV programmes but she says running School Report is the best job she's ever had.
Ros Smith, Schools and Partnership Producer
Previously a BBC radio producer, Ros has worked on School Report since it started and is the central contact for all the schools involved in the project. A former physics teacher she can provide advice on anything from how to run a News Day with no equipment to organising a complicated tri-media outside broadcast. Ros is a keen swimmer and recently returned from a swimming trip to Croatia.
Carla Pickering, Web Producer
She is the member of the team who publishes resources for teachers and showcases student reports on the website. On School Report News Day, she links to the websites of all the participating schools. Her favourite subject at school was English; she was so passionate about it, she went on to teach it, before becoming a journalist.
Zoë Millett, Mentor Producer
She recruits and trains BBC members of staff and links them with schools. She has worked on School Report for three years, first as a BBC mentor, then as the English Regions Producer and now as the Mentor Producer. She is passionate about the benefits of broadcasting in schools. As a student, she spent many afternoons avoiding PE in order to "do drama". Avoiding exercise and being dramatic have remained her two key successes in life.
Margaret Burgin, Producer in the North of England
Previously, she worked as a local radio producer and is therefore no stranger to dashing around the country. Working with School Report schools across the north of England, her car will once again be doing a lot of miles.
Ngunan Adamu, Project Associate in the North of England
She is the Robin to Margaret's Batman and is on hand to help schools across the north of England. Ngunan started in BBC Entertainment and went on to work in local radio in Liverpool and Manchester. Her passion for Outreach work and young people has led her to the School Report team and is available to help mentor and train schools, teachers and mentors across the North of England. Fiona Slattery, Project Associate She runs the office and can answer any questions teachers may have regarding the project. Fiona's favourite food is hot curry.
