Your NHS, your consultation

Your NHS, on Wednesday 24 March, 2004, is the BBC's second special event day examining the nation's healthcare system.
Your NHS is running a new interactive survey, by phone and online, on public health.

It covers issues such as obesity, smoking and sexual health.

It also mirrors a separate one carried out by the Department of Health which was launched on 3 March.

Earlier this year, the Scottish Executive also announced a drive to help people give up smoking. The public will be asked for their views on smoking in public places, with the executive sponsoring a major public debate on how to minimise the impact of passive smoking.

The consultation has now closed.

The survey will form part of the discussion on Your NHS: For Better or Worse, broadcast on BBC One, Wednesday 24 March at 21:00 GMT.
