The growing popularity of the documentary

One of the most interesting developments in 21st century cinema is the rising popularity of the feature length documentary.

Filmmakers like Michael Moore and Morgan Spurlock help paved the way for more documentaries to be shown in cinemas.

The London International Documentary Festival has been bringing them to movie theatres in the capital for five years.

Kirsty Lang speaks to the festival director Patrick Hazard and Tim Plester, who directed a film about Morrris Dancing.
