It has been four months since an accident on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico sparked the biggest spill in US history.
Residents who built their livelihoods around fishing and oil exploration were suddenly faced with both the environmental impact and a drilling moratorium imposed by the Obama administration.
It is a policy which continues to be felt in towns like Lafayette, Louisiana.
