Ground traveller


No matter what level of security we face at the airport - there are a few dreaded rituals which often spark dreams of finding another route.

Whether it is paying to get your bags checked having already bought a ticket or getting the dreaded middle seat in a row of five, there must be a better way, right?

Well for author Seth Stevenson there is. He argues that all of us should embrace travelling by ground and he is leading by example.

He has gathered together his experiences in the new book "Grounded."

The BBC's Laura Trevelyan spoke to him.
