Former minister on Basra pullout

Iraq's former defence minister and now author, Ali Allawi, speaks to Jamie Coomarasamy about the British troop withdrawal from Iraq, saying the UK leaves a "chequered legacy" in Basra.

But he expressed confidence that Iraq's central government would not be toppled by violence when the time comes for US troops to leave the country.
