BBC has been my source of accurate information since the 08 elections. I am deeply incensed with US media for their assumption the the citizens here are idiots and not valid nor intelligent enough to know what's really going. Thank you BBC, you have been what our media has not, honest, to the point, and accurate.

I love the BBC News. It's great and unbiased. The BBC understands intelligence and knows that "America" refers to the United States of America ... not Canada, or any other nation, as some people from P.C. Toronto might want to suggest. Love the BBC! I watch it often.

America (United States of America)
Every night I watch BBC America. I've made the switch from other news services and have found BBC WNA to be more informative, in depth, and containing more World content than other American News Services. Thank you for your perspective!

Tonight's story on the Gaza war cemetery was a fascinating, yet poignant angle on an increasingly complex and frustrating story. Your correspondent personalized the report, without losing sight of the wider historic context. I thank and congratulate him on creating a moment of truly inspired and insightful television.

I would be very happy if this program were available as a Podcast. You are my source for the majority of my world news.

Until I found BBC World News America I did not watch news, because American (L.A.) news coverage is, unfortunately, bad (a 3 hour live coverage of a high-speed car chase is NOT news).
I now watch BBC World News America Monday through Friday. Thank you for unbiased political news, analytical stories of events from around the world, and a focus on REAL news stories!
Could you please expand your news to the weekends too? That would be great!
Linda, Los Angeles, US
Thank you for providing news about the world. We gave up on other newscasts because they ignore world news. We appreciate the fact that you do not cover celebrities and sports. You are the best as far as we are concerned.

I just wanted to say how much I always enjoy reading Matt Frei's Washington diary. My husband's job brought us here nearly 11 years ago and we've been observing and learning about this culture in a similar way. We really enjoy the way Matt expresses his observations, we find we often think the same way he does on a subject.
Mr Frei, you are a credit to the BBC in the best tradition thanks for your thoughts and keep them coming.

It the video "California's fuel efficiency" at the beginning the guy says that the car had 4kg of carbon emissions. If you look at the sheet and calculate out what it really had it is impossible given he says it gets 17mpg. The math is this... it ran for 1136 second, roughly 19 minutes, and went 8.717 miles. Given it's 17mpg that mean it used just over half a gallon of gas. With a gallon of gas weighing only 2.6-2.9kg how can you has 4kg of carbon emissions... it should only be roughly 1.5kg or at the most close to 2kg not 4kg! This is a very misleading video. Making carbon emissions look like there is more being created that in reality.

Your anti-Bush statements are really getting old. Where is your objectivity? You and the rest of the world's media practically campaigned for Obama. You expressed a desire for his presence at world meetings before he even took office. That was wrong and extremely disrespectful to the office. Bring back objective reporting, please.
Frank Stabler, Fairhope Alabama USA
BBC-A has shown itself to cover a wider spectrum of U.S. and world news with fewer opinions than all of the U.S. TV media. The latter are so pre-occupied with scrutinizing Obama to a ridiculous extreme that they fail to report on major issues from around the world. Or, they focus on and hype the negative and completely ignore the positive. BBC-A continues to remain focused on the news. Important news that is.
Jeff, U.S.A.
I love BBC World News America. I choose to watch it more than any other American news program. I feel that you cover more WORLD issues than the American affiliates! I am so glad that I get to have BBC World News America where I am. I feel that it makes me more aware of the global issues. Keep up the great work!!!!
Seth Perry, Huntington, WV, USA
What a disgusting biased pair you have on for your American newscast.
I have become used to the American press fawning over Obama, understanding why has yet to come, but I would have thought the esteemed British Press would be above this, but I fear they have become Americanized.
Perhaps the French should start an American broadcast for they seem to have shaken off the comfortable idiocy which they have languished in for years and and see the world for what it is.
Karl Hinkel, Kenner, La.
I watch CNN for comedy. Serious, to the point and unbiased factual reporting that's BBC. Keep it up.

A mistake was made in a recent article titled (Iowa's green energy struggle). In it you mentioned January temperatures hover around -18F. I think you meant -18C. Currently it is a rather nice day at 38F here in Iowa.
As for the rest of the story I found it very negative towards Iowa and frankly absurd. The mention of a low population density state like Iowa not having a subway is just ridiculous.
Kelly Watson, Ida Grove United States.
To Scott Simon author of Iowa wind energy. Clear Lake is north central Iowa and it is not in the windiest part of Iowa. The north west part of Iowa is the windiest. Your picture is of the Alta Iowa wind farm which is in NW Iowa.
Clear Lake is just 8 miles west of Mason City. Close, but they are not near as windy as NW Iowa.

Among the people I know, your formerly good image has been shattered by your obviously negative attitude toward Israel. If you are biased, that's your privilege, but your reporting must be carefully truthful, or instead of a fair reporter, you simply become a tool.
Emanuel Goren, Weston, FL
As a part of your USA audience I feel that your reports of the Mid-east/Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been biased and unfair. There's a definite slant toward the Arab position. To remain a credible news source I need to see a more balanced, objective and less opinionated approach to this situation.

I would like to comment on Katty Kay's interview last night with the executive from Morgan Stanley. I thought that it was a very week interview. She let him off too easy and did not aggressively pursue the key issue: the disgust of bankers awarding themselves huge bonuses at a time when they are being bailed out by tax payers.
Where is that BBC edge? Stand-up for us and help us to get the answers that we want to ask these people if given half a chance!
Stuart Taylor, Cambridge, MA USA
Katty Kay should not conflate coastal erosion in the Chesapeake Bay, the primary cause of which is wave action and to a lesser extent coastal development, with alleged man-made global warming. Where are the data to support Kay's assertion? Egregious and lazy eco-bias without scientific backup will not do.

"southern AMERICA"? You travelled to "southern America for your special on 'foreclosure'? Where the heck is SOUTHERN AMERICA? You surely must mean southern United States?
We here in Canada are fairly sensitive to the usage of the term 'America' to refer to the United States...Officially, WE are ALSO America...both the States and Canada are in North America...NOT SOUTHERN America...no such thing, sorry...
Please...next time, drop the horrible misuse of 'America' and use the 'United States' or just the 'States'...then we'll ALL know what you're referring to...
Love the BBC.
