The great post strike experiment

Working Lunch journalists sent out 24 postcards on the first day of the post strike. One week later, how many have arrived?

Rather than just tell you the number, we could prolong the suspense until the end of this article.

But we are simply not like that at Working Lunch. We like to make a point of getting straight to the point.

So here it is:

One week after the postcards were sent, from Television Centre in West London, eighteen (18) have arrived. That is two-thirds or 66.66666666666666%.

The postcards went out on the morning of Thursday, October 22nd 2009. To our great surprise, eleven arrived on the following Saturday, at destinations across England.

Three more postcards arrived the following Monday in Sussex and Bristol. Three more arrived on Tuesday in Cheshire and Windsor. The last arrived on today (Wednesday) in Bath.

All eight outstanding postcards were sent to Scotland, including one to the Shetland Islands. Stay tuned for updates.
