Money Matters heads to Glasgow

Doors open at 8am

Working Lunch is taking to the road again for another Money Matters Roadshow.

On Wednesday 14th October we will be broadcasting live from the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow.

If you are not able to come along e-mail us your question and we will try to get it answered on air.

Back in February, when the economy officially entered recession, we took a team of financial advisers to Manchester for the first roadshow, and were overwhelmed by the response.

Hundreds of people came along eager for impartial advice about how best to manage their money.

By far and away the most popular issue was savings. There was a real feeling of bunkering down and surviving - people wanted safety for their money above anything else.

Team of experts

The event proved a great barometer on which to take the economic temperature with the public, and get a sense of how the global downturn was impacting on household budgets.

During the course of the day, around 500 people managed to speak to one of the advisers about their money worries.

Since February, unemployment has risen, interest rates remain stubbornly low for savers, and despite a few more products coming onto the mortgage market many are still finding it extremely tough to borrow.

So it is high time for another roadshow!

We will be bringing together the weight of the BBC's financial journalists with a team of experts, advisers and financial planners to help you navigate the money maze and make more informed decisions about your finances.

Roadshow coverage

So if you are taxed by tax, baffled by benefits, confused by credit, daunted by debt, rattled by redundancy or puzzled by pensions we will be there to offer you practical tips and guidance.

There will also be experts on hand to discuss mortgages, student finances and small businesses.

We will be broadcasting live throughout the day on BBC One Breakfast, Reporting Scotland, News Channel and Radio Five Live.

There will be a special hour long edition of Working Lunch at 1.30pm, Radio 4 You & Yours will be on air at 12pm, and Money Box Live will be broadcasting at 3pm.

And if you cannot get along in person to the Buchanan Galleries, then sit back and absorb the coverage across BBC TV, Radio and on the BBC News website throughout the day.
