Nik Wood returned to Working Lunch after six years working in the City and industry.
After a spell in the studio he's back as the programme's other roving correspondent, visiting every corner of the UK.
Before that he had worked on regional and national newspapers and was one of the founding staff at BBC Radio York.
He transferred to regional television news, based in his native Yorkshire before joining Working Lunch and the former Business Breakfast.
"My time in the City and working in industry has taught me some valuable lessons but I also realise that the real magic of Working Lunch is its diverse and loyal audience," he said.
Outside his working life, Nik is passionate about adventure travel. He recently returned from a prolonged trip to deepest Patagonia.
He is also a keen sportsman, having played rugby union for many years, completed three London marathons and several sections of the Tour de France (outside the official race of course).
He also occasionally tries his hand at singing with a rhythm and blues band.
