There is no difference whether you meet your wife on the internet, or in a club, pub, bus or train. As long as you get to know the person and love that person, what's the problem?

My Russian wife and I are in our fifth year of marriage and it has been a great experience

Why whenever I see programmes like yours on TV do they always tend to focus on the issue in a negative way? There are plenty of success stories out there, and I really wish someone would report some good news for a change. There is an entire community of happy people who are either already married or engaged and just want to be with the one they love.

I found my wife-to-be via the internet three years ago. We are now married, settled and quite content living in Wales. Anyone who scoffs at this remember one thing... not only do I have a beautiful Malaysian wife, who cooks good curry, but I also have two holiday homes in Kuala Lumpur!

I think there are genuine and not-so-genuine people on both sides of the industry. There are good websites and bad websites. It may be hard to tell the difference, or what either party is letting themselves in for.

My Russian wife and I are in our fifth year of marriage and it has been a great experience. But for anybody interested in looking abroad for a spouse, I would add a word of caution... know who you are getting involved with! You have published instances of brides being abused by their husbands, but American men have often been duped by their Russian brides-to-be too.
