This Week: Shami Chakrabarti and Charles Dance

Charles Dance
What the Dickens! Charles Dance will celebrate on Thursday night

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights, and it's time for the This Week Muppet Show tonight!

Joining Andrew tonight is our own Kermit and Miss Piggy - that's Michael Portillo and Alan Johnson to you. When we have seen the shirts they are wearing, we may have a clearer idea of which is which!

Liberty's Shami Chakrabarti will tell us why she thinks Abu Qatada should face a trial in the UK rather than deportation.

And then we will be look at the muppets in Parliament, as The Observer's Andrew Rawnsley looks back over the singing and dancing in last week, before MPs head off on another holiday (just one week this time).

We will haveA Tale of Charles(es) as a star of film and stage Charles Dance looks back over the life of Charles Dickens.

And we wish you an early night next Thursday - as the Parliamentary recess will keep us off-air, but we will be back on 23rd February.

We are here after Question Time at 11.35pm in most areas - or 30 minutes later in Wales and Northern Ireland. If that's too late, catch us on BBC Parliament on Friday at 18:00 or later on the BBC iPlayer.
