Damaging bluster

So party funding is well and truly back in the spotlight with those revelations that the former Conservative Party co-treasurer Peter Cruddas offered undercover reporters access to ministers for cash.

Although no money changed hands and Mr Cruddas resigned, there are no prizes for guessing what will be dominating the political agenda this week.

I spoke earlier to the political correspondent of the Economist Janan Ganesh.

I began by asking him what he thought of Peter Cruddas's strategy for raising money for the party.
