Joined up thinking

Localism is one of the ideas proposed in a pamphlet to be published this week by the centre left think tank, the IPPR.

Called 'A Future For Politics,' the pamphlet is a joint effort by seven think tanks from both the centre left and the centre right.

They've come together to call for fundamental reforms of our political system in the wake of the expenses scandal.

We asked one of the authors, Carey Oppenheim of the IPPR, why the think tanks had decided to produce the pamphlet.
