The euro has in recent years become almost a rather forgotten part of the political vernacular, but with the downturn, the dear old euro is back with a vengeance.
Indeed this week sees the 10th anniversary of its launch and, as the pound heads ever southwards, politicians and commentators here have again begun to float the idea again of joining the single currency.
The EU Commission's President Borroso recently opined that "those who matter" in Britian were having a re-think on the euro.
The Tories meanwhile have dug themselves an even deeper Eurosceptic trench saying they would NEVER join the euro.
So, is the euro back on the agenda?
We brought together the deputy leader of Labour's MEPs Richard Corbett and the Tory MEP Daniel Hannan.
We asked Richard Corbett, why he didn't just come out and say now's the time to join the euro?
