The Condensed History of Political Parties

We present something a little different in the Sunday Supplement slot: a new series telling political history as you've never heard it before.

Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill - oh yes!

You may remember some time back we brought you the highly-acclaimed Condensed History of Tony Blair.

Adam Long, co-founder of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, has now turned his history-abridging hand to Britain's main political parties.

With the help of Simon Jermond and Bryan Torfeh, two guitars and a violin, he now presents part one - the Condensed History of the Conservative Party.

In part two, it's the turn of the Liberals: from Whigs to Lib Dems - the Condensed History of the Liberal Party.

And last but not least, part three - the Condensed History of the Labour Party.

We look back at ten years of the former Prime Minister, penned once again by Adam Long and starring Simon Jermond and Mikey O'Connor.
