Have the Tories got religion?

That's actually the title of a paper to be presented at the annual conference of the nation's experts on elections and public opinion at the University of Manchester in September.

In the coming weeks, we'll be previewing the conference.

The debate over the Embryology bill brought the views of Christian Conservatives to the fore.
We hear from Dr Tim Bale of Sussex University who's been looking at the extent to which Christian thinking might influence the policies of a future Conservative government.

How might laws affecting adoption, abortion and the use of embryos for research be changed if the Tories really have got religion?
