MPs face new elections for Westminster committee seats

Hundreds of the new - and more established - MPs are taking part in their own elections as they are being canvassed by those keen to chair select committees in the House of Commons.

Adam Fleming explains what the jobs involve and how big is the shake-up now the votes will no longer take place in secret.

He spoke to Dr Ruth Fox from the Hansard Society, plus three new MPs the Daily Politics has been following: Liberal Democrat Stephen Lloyd, Labour's Stella Creasy and Conservative Penny Mordaunt.
