Why NW Leicestershire is waiting for an election

David Taylor, the North West Leicestershire MP and popular backbencher, died on Boxing Day, but it looks like his constituents could be without an MP for five months if no by-election is called before the general election, widely tipped for May.

Adam Fleming reports.

EXPECTED CANDIDATES AT BY-ELECTION/GENERAL ELECTION:
Andrew Bridgen (Conservative)
Martin Green (UKIP)
Ian Meller (BNP)
Paul Reynolds (Liberal Democrat)
Ross Willmott (Labour)
