Italy's second largest city is one of the world's fashion and design capitals, and we've assembled three stylish guides to show you some of Milan's less well-known attractions. Luisa Bezzi is well connected in the world of Milanese haute couture - she is the fashion brand manager for a number of high-powered labels including Moschino, Chloe and Yamamoto. She begins the day with a visit to
Caffe Cucchi,
which has been a firm favourite with Milan's cultural elite for three generations.

After fresh pastries and a strong coffee, Luisa takes us to
the Jacopo Foggini gallery
to view the artist's distinctive 'creations of light' - luminescent sculptures made from colourful reflective material. Luisa also lets us in on a little secret - the vintage clothing shop
Cavalli e Nastri,
which stocks elegant fashions from the the 19th and 20th Centuries. Michele Lupi, editor of Italian GQ, abandoned his studies of architecture for the lure of journalism but has retained a love for beautifully designed buildings. He shows us the newly restored
Villa Necchi Campiglio,
which dates from the 1930s. Next on Michele's tour of Milan is the
Studio Achille Castiglioni,
where the world renowned industrial designer worked for 40 years. Inspired by everyday objects, Castiglioni made use of ordinary materials to create some of the twentieth century's most classic designs. A trip to the barber shop completes Michele's stylish image. The
Antica Barberia Colla
has been cutting the hair of Milan's intellectuals since 1904 and offers the closest shave in Milan. Video game designer Fiodor Tonti shows us around the gigantic grounds of
the Cimitero Monumentale.
Opened in 1866, this incredible cemetery boasts 250,000 square-metres of eclectic art nouveau sculptures including Greek temples, elaborate obelisks and giant, glass-fronted, marble tombs that could pass for houses. Fiodor shows us his favourite statues before taking a break from the Milanese evening heat at
Bar Chocolat
- a gelateria boasting over ten different types of chocolate ice cream. As the dusk fades in the evening, Fiodor takes us to the trendy Navigli area by Milan's canals and shows us
Bar Cuore,
a little bar tucked away down a side street.
