Brian Paddick criticises police over riots

The Met police could have stopped further rioting if they had responded properly to initial disturbances in Tottenham after the shooting of Mark Duggan, former deputy assistant commissioner Brian Paddick has said.

He told the Question Time audience that the police should also have used social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to keep ahead of the rioters.
