David Dimbleby was joined for the interactive debate by Rhodri Morgan, Cheryl Gillan MP, Chris Huhne MP, Leanne Wood AM and actor Adam Rickitt.

Title: First Minister of the Welsh Assembly

Career: Rhodri Morgan succeeded Alun Michael as First Minister of the Welsh Assembly following his resignation in February 2000.

He stood down as MP for Cardiff West at the 2001 General Election.

Rhodri Morgan is married to Julie Morgan MP.


Cheryl Gillan
CHERYL GILLAN MP

Title: Shadow Welsh Secretary

Career: Appointed Shadow Welsh Secretary under David Cameron, Ms Gillan was promoted from being a Shadow Home Affairs Minister to a place in the Shadow Cabinet.

She was born in Cardiff.


Chris Huhne
CHRIS HUHNE MP

Title: Liberal Democrat, Treasury Spokesman

Career: Liberal Democrat leadership candidate, Chris Huhne was elected to the House of Commons in May 2005.

Formerly a Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament, Mr Huhne was an economic and financial journalist for 19 years and a City economist for 5 years.

He is currently on the Liberal Democrat Treasury team.


Leanne Wood AM
LEANNE WOOD AM

Title: Plaid Cymru Spokesperson for Social Justice

Career: Leanne Wood was elected to the National Assembly as a Plaid Cymru representative in May 2003.

She represents the South Wales Central region, which covers Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan and Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Leanne was the first Assembly Member to be ordered out of the chamber after calling the Queen, "Mrs Windsor."


Adam Rickitt
ADAM RICKITT

Title: Actor

Career: Adam Rickitt has just returned from the Andes where he has been filming a three part documentary.

Adam's first love has always been drama and he turned down a place to read law at Cambridge for his first television acting job in Coronation Street where he played Nick Tilsley until July 2004.

He has starred in the musical Rent and the political play, Final Judgement.
