The Politics Show looks inside the South East homes which are environmentally friendly. We also look at what more central and local government can do to reduce energy consumption in the home.
Going green Conventional climate change wisdom tells us it is all about planes, trains and automobiles - but a quarter of UK carbon dioxide emissions come from households. In fact, the Energy Saving Trust says the average home emits twice as much CO2 in a year as the average car. And members of the Transition Town movement in Lewes are trying to make a change in their lives, adapting their homes and lifestyles be become more energy efficient.

This weekend 10 families have opened their homes up to the public - and to the Politics Show - to show others what they can do to cut down on carbon emissions, and save money too! The programme is live from the recently built eco-home of award-winning architect Duncan Baker Brown, director of BBM sustainable design. And the show will be quizzing local politicians and energy experts about how we can all save more energy. Go green!
