...on the Politics Show of Sunday 28 September 2008
Having just watched your interview with Yvette Cooper, I am astonished, but not surprised, the usual Socialist mantra is trotted out, it's all the Conservatives fault. I think it is high time the very pleasant Ms Cooper got herself a proper job, one in which she might learn the fundamentals of economics...
Frederick Holvast, UK
I thought the crude hatchet job on Boris Johnson was unworthy, the Livingstone drone that you brought in and allowed to make inane attacks on the Conservatives should not have gone unchallenged and as to the fragrant Ms Cooper, congratulations on allowing her to give the impression that all is well in the world despite the 'incoherent and irresponsible' Conservatives. It is widely appreciated that the BBC lacks political balance, your programme should be retitled. I would suggest 'The New Labour View'. Get a perspective or quit the pretence.
Keith Mackman,
UK (despite the efforts of Brown)
Hurrah for Jon Sopel asking the Treasury Secretary to explain Government policies and not to excuse Mr Browns lack of foresight by telling us what the Tories did or didn't do.
A manly effort to keep a politician "honest". Well done, great show as always.
Tony O'Brien,
England
Yvette Cooper did not answer any of the questions that was put to her by John. Why did he let her go on and on about what we all know about, instead of sticking to the questions that he asked her? It Was very bad to see how she over powered him.
