Northern Ireland: Have your say

On Sunday 03 June 2007, Politics Show from Northern Ireland reported on the costs of maintaining a divided society.

Jim interviewed the Finance Minister, Peter Robinson.

The Sunday newspapers were reviewed by the Sinn Fein MLA, Martina Anderson.

Here are some of your comments...

Peter Robinson promised us an improved financial package. I fear another broken promise.
Colin, Lisburn.

Why no mention of Ian Paisley Jnr's outrageous comments during the week? Not much of a Politics Show.

What went so wrong in the South election for the new Alliance party of the South, Sinn Fein?
Anon

A billion pounds a year was saved through the security budget and the Chancellor puts it in his Westminster coffers.
Anon

Will Ms Anderson be raising the arrests of Tyrone republicans in her new policing post?
Anon

BBC Northern Ireland's so-called reporters are mere microphone stands. It's so sad. History will blame your management for prostituting a former excellent broadcasting organisation.
Anon

Just sold my house to some clown for three times what I paid, moving to Holland in November! Out of this circus you call a country, you deserve all you get!
Terry, Ballymena.

Free care for the elderly was only voted for by SF at this time knowing full well we cannot afford it - it was vote pleaser tactic
Graham, Portadown.

Robinson is playing merry games with this naive presenter. God help us.
Anon

Cut MLAs' wages, get rid of the hi-tech office equipment and use the savings made for the elderly.
Adrian, Armagh.

I'd love to know how these people get those good jobs.
Anon

Have you forgotten the victims? We got nothing.
