Elusive leader of the Taleban
Mullah Omar
A rare sighting of Mullah Omar
He is shrouded in mystery, few journalists have met Mullah Omar, and yet the decision - whether or not the Taleban would hand over Osama bin Laden, lay in his hands.

He comes from a small village near the city of Kandahar, and from there, controlled the whole country.

Becky Milligan examined the founder of the Taleban movement and questioned whether, under the threat of overwhelming American attacks, cracks might appear in the support for the Mullah.
