Abused girls: what do we know?

Professor David Barrett
David Barrett, Professor of Applied Social Science
David Barrett is the Professor of Applied Social Science at the University of Bedfordshire.

His teaching interests include the aetiology of the involvement of children and young people in prostitution and the responses of the police, welfare agencies and policy makers to their plight.

David is currently involved in research in this area and he has recently completed studies of vagrancy amongst young people.

He has written the following article for Panorama:
