Panorama and the Muslim Council of Britain
In 2005 following the 7/7 bombings Panorama's John Ware made a film about Britain's Muslim leaders.

Panorama: A Question of Leadership examined the role of the Muslim Council of Britain.

John Ware's report made clear that Muslim leaders had unreservedly condemned the bombings.

But four leading Muslims also argued that the MCB's leadership was in denial about the causes and extent of extremism.

Last week, Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London published a report he had commissioned into what he described as 'Islamophobia and the Media" entitled the "The Search for Common Ground: Muslims, Non-Muslims and the UK Media."

The report was critical of the Panorama programme as well as the media in general.

John Ware responded to the report in an article for the Sunday Telegraph.
