The Clinton interview

Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton's eight years as President of the United States were marked by controversy.

On the one hand, he tamed the US economy, tried to bring peace to Ireland and the Middle East, and developed a new politics, the Third Way.

On the other hand, despised and pursued by his political opponents, Clinton became the first president in over a century to be impeached by Congress whilst still in office.

In an exclusive and wide ranging interview for Panorama, David Dimbleby quizzes the former President on his record, his political passions and how his public and private lives clashed.
