Kirsty Wark, Sarfraz Manzoor, Tom Paulin and Rosie Boycott debate whether fictionalising fact can reveal truths about real people and real events.

They discuss Alan Bennett's new play, which creates an imaginary rapprochement between WH Auden and Benjamin Britten, and Women We Have Loved, a season of dramas on BBC Four which takes us into the private worlds of three female icons.
