Sharon Horgan is a scriptwriter and actor.

Sharon was born in Ireland and studied English Literature at university. In 2001 Sharon and Dennis Kelly won the BBC's New Comedy Award for sketch writing.

Sharon is co-writer, with Dennis Kelly, of the series Pulling, in which she also plays Donna.

Pulling was BAFTA nominated for Best Situation Comedy in 2007, and a nominated for Golden Rose for best Comedy Writing in 2002. She is also the writer of Angelo's, a sitcom set in a London café.

She played the Celebrity Booker alongside Rob Brydon in the spoof TV show Annually Retentive, and Katie Tate in the comedy series Broken News.

Sharon has performed in other shows including The Friday Night Project, The Pilot Show, and Monkey Dust. She has also acted on stage, radio and film.

She is currently developing a new series called Colin.
