Nikki Gemmell is a novelist.
She is a graduate of the MA Creative Writing Programme at the University of Technology, Sydney. She has worked as a broadcaster in a previous life but now devotes her time to fiction.
Her novels are The Bride Stripped Bare, Lovesong, Cleave and Shiver. She has also written a work of non-fiction, The Book of Pleasure.
In France she's been described as a female Jack Kerouac, in Australia as one of the most original and engaging voices of her generation and in the US as one of the few truly original voices to emerge in a long time.
She was born in Wollongong, Australia, and now lives in London.
