Lionel Shriver

Lionel Shriver is the author of seven novels including The Female of the Species, Ordinary Decent Criminal, A Perfectly Good Family and Game Control.

Her latest work, We Need to Talk About Kevin, was highly acclaimed for its depiction of the relationship between a career mother and her disturbingly cruel son. It won the 2005 Orange Prize for Fiction.

Lionel is a regular contributor to The Guardian.

She was born in the US and has lived in Nairobi, Bangkok and Belfast. She currently lives in London.
