Rifkind and Dorries clash over how to handle EU treaty

Prime Minister David Cameron has said that he will block a new European Union treaty if it does not protect UK interests such as financial services.

But some senior Tories say big changes should be put to a UK referendum and others want him to do more to reshape the UK's relationship with the EU.

Here former foreign secretary Malcolm Rifkind and Conservative MP Nadine Dorries clash over how the government should approach the issue.

Broadcast on Wednesday 7 December 2011.
