The economics of solar power government subsidies

The Department of Energy and Climate Change is to review subsidised tariffs for small-scale renewable energy.

There have been concerns that big corporations are cashing in on a scheme which was intended to encourage householders to install solar panels and other renewables, like wind turbines and microhydro plants.

Prior to the announcement David Grossman reported on the solar power gold rush for Newsnight.
