Inside the English Defence League leadership

Thousands of police are expected to be deployed in Luton this weekend as the English Defence League (EDL) stage what they are calling a "homecoming" demonstration in the town.

The group, which is about two years old, are vehemently anti-Islam, yet also have non-white and gay members.

Catrin Nye, a reporter for Newsnight and the BBC Asian Network, has spent the last six months getting to know members of the EDL, including their leader Stephen Lennon, who goes by the pseudonym Tommy Robinson.
