Eels frontman on father's 'theory of everything' role

Musician Mark Everett, frontman of the band Eels, talks about his father Hugh Everett III.

The physicist's pioneering work on quantum theory in the 1950s was completely dismissed during his lifetime, but has achieved posthumous recognition. Professor Stephen Hawking cites Everett's work as having contributed to our understanding of the universe.

Mark Everett speaks to Newsnight's Science editor Susan Watts.
